Who This Page Is For

Built for Small Business Owners, Not Big Corporations

If any of these sound like you, you are in the right place:

You run an LLC or S-Corp and want your business and personal returns handled by one CPA
You are self-employed and tired of guessing what you owe until April
Your books are behind or messy and you need them cleaned up before tax time
You have heard you should “elect S-Corp status” but nobody has actually run your numbers
You want a real price before the work starts, not an hourly meter
Your current preparer disappears after filing season

You do not need to have it all figured out before you call. Bring the mess. Sorting it out is the job.

Core Services

What We Handle for Your Business

Business Tax Returns

Federal and state returns for S-Corps (1120-S), partnerships (1065), and Schedule C filers, plus your personal return so the two stay coordinated.

S-Corp and LLC Guidance

Entity analysis, S-Corp election, and reasonable compensation guidance based on your actual numbers.

Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Cleanup

Monthly bookkeeping or one-time cleanup so your books are accurate, current, and tax-ready.

Tax Planning

Year-round projections and quarterly estimates so your tax bill is a number you planned for, not a surprise.

Business Tax Returns

Business Tax Returns Done Right, Business and Personal Together

Most small business tax problems start with treating the business return and the owner’s personal return as two separate jobs. They are not. Your S-Corp or partnership return flows directly into your personal return, and decisions on one side change the outcome on the other.

We prepare both together: the 1120-S or 1065, the K-1s, the owner’s 1040, and any state filings. Every return is prepared and reviewed by a licensed CPA, not handed to a seasonal preparer. If you operate in more than one state, we handle the multi-state filings too.

S-Corp and LLC

S-Corp or LLC? Get an Answer Based on Your Numbers

The S-Corp election can reduce self-employment tax for some owners. It also adds payroll, a separate return, and reasonable compensation requirements. Whether it helps depends on your profit, your state, and how you pay yourself. It is not automatically the right move, and anyone who says it always is has not looked at your numbers.

Here is what we actually do:

Run the analysis on your real profit and salary numbers before recommending anything
Handle the election paperwork and deadlines if it makes sense
Set up reasonable compensation guidance so the election holds up
Tell you plainly if you should stay a sole proprietor or default LLC for now
Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping That Keeps You Tax-Ready All Year

Messy books cost you twice: once in missed deductions, and again in the hours someone has to spend reconstructing your year every spring. We offer monthly bookkeeping for owners who want it off their plate, and one-time QuickBooks cleanup for books that have fallen behind.

Because your bookkeeper and your tax CPA are the same firm, your books are built for your tax return from day one. No year-end handoff, no “ask your accountant” loop.

See our bookkeeping service for full details, or read the small business bookkeeping guide.

Tax Planning

Plan the Tax Bill Instead of Discovering It

Tax preparation reports what already happened. Tax planning changes what happens next. For business owners, that means quarterly estimate reviews, entity and salary check-ins, retirement contribution strategy, and timing decisions on income and equipment, all handled during the year while there is still time to act.

Planning is where a CPA earns the fee. If all you get from your accountant is a finished return in April, you are only getting half the service.

Flat-Fee Pricing

Flat Fees, Quoted Before the Work Starts

Hourly billing punishes you for asking questions. We quote a flat fee up front based on the complexity of your situation, so you know the cost before we begin and you never hesitate to email your CPA.

Small business engagements start at $1,500, with the exact quote depending on your entity type, state filings, and bookkeeping condition. You get the number in writing once the scope is confirmed.

Pembroke Pines and South Florida

A Small Business CPA in Pembroke Pines

Jason Brett CPA is based in Pembroke Pines and works with business owners across Broward County and South Florida, including Miramar, Hollywood, Weston, Davie, and the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas. Meetings are virtual, so you get local knowledge of Florida entities and sales tax questions without driving to an office.

Virtual, Nationwide

Virtual Service for Business Owners in Any State

Everything we do works remotely: secure document upload, e-signature, video meetings, and email access to your CPA. If your business operates outside Florida, or in several states at once, we prepare the state filings that apply to you. Multi-state owners are a core part of the practice, not an exception we tolerate.

FAQs

Small Business CPA FAQs

How much does a small business CPA cost?
We use flat fees quoted up front rather than hourly billing. Small business engagements start at $1,500 and the exact price depends on your entity type, number of state filings, and the condition of your books. Current starting prices are on our Fees page, and you receive your exact quote in writing before any work begins.
Do I need a CPA for my LLC?
It depends on the complexity. A single-member LLC with clean books and one state may be fine with simple help. Once you have an S-Corp election, payroll, multiple states, or books that need cleanup, a CPA typically pays for itself in avoided errors and missed elections. An introductory call is a fast way to find out whether this is worth a closer look.
Should my LLC elect S-Corp status?
Sometimes. The election can reduce self-employment tax at certain profit levels, but it adds payroll costs, a separate return, and compliance requirements. We run the numbers on your actual profit before recommending it. For background, read our S-Corp vs LLC guide, then bring your questions to the consultation.
Can you clean up my QuickBooks before tax season?
Yes. One-time cleanup engagements are a standard part of the practice. We reconcile accounts, fix categorization, and get the books to a state where an accurate return can be filed, then you can continue with monthly bookkeeping or take the books back in-house.
Do you only work with Florida businesses?
No. The firm is based in Pembroke Pines and works with South Florida businesses, but service is fully virtual and we work with business owners nationwide, including multi-state operations.
What is included in the introductory consultation?
Thirty minutes with Jason to review your situation: entity, filings, books, and deadlines. The call is used to understand your objective, confirm whether the matter fits our services, and identify the appropriate next step. There is no charge for this introductory call. Technical analysis and document review may require a paid engagement.
Will I actually work with a CPA, or with staff?
With Jason directly. He is a licensed Florida CPA and personally prepares and reviews client work. That is the point of the firm.
What do you need from me to get started?
Typically: prior-year returns, entity documents, access to your bookkeeping file or bank statements, and payroll reports if you have employees. You get a specific checklist at onboarding, and we work with whatever state your records are in.
